Rayiranellur Mala Kayattam 2024 also known as Raayiranelloor pilgrimage date for this year is 18th October 2024. Rayiranellor Hills is a 500-metre high hill at Koppam near Pattambi in Palakkad district. Up the hill, there is a remarkable statue of the legendary mystic character called Naranath Branthan and a Durga Temple.
The historically significant Raayiranelloor pilgrimage will take place this time on the second day of the month of Thulam. Typically, devotees ascend the Raayiranelloor mountain on the first day of Thulam each year.
Raayiranelloor pilgrimage 2024 Date
In 2024, as the transition into the month of Thula will occur on the morning of October 17, following the sunrise. Consequently, the mountain pilgrimage will take place on the second day of the Thula month, which is October 18.
From October 15, Tuesday, the Laksharchana will commence at the Rayiranellur Malayil Durga Devi Temple located atop the hill as part of the annual pilgrimage. This event is traditionally held on the first day of the Malayalam month of Thulam, in memory of Narayana Bhattathiri, the leader of the Panthirukulam.
The Laksharchana at Rayiranellur Malayil Bhagavathy Temple will begin on the morning of October 15 and will conclude on October 18, which is designated as the day of the pilgrimage. This year, the pilgrimage will take place on October 18, as confirmed by the office bearers of the Sridwadashakshari Trust, including Raman Bhattathiripad, Madhusoodanan Bhattathiripad, and Kumaraswamy Bhattathiripad.
