Significance of Navratri Colours - Navaratri Festival 2023

Many devotees of Goddess Durga take these colours pretty seriously and wear clothes accordingly. It is believed that doing so brings prosperity, blessings and good luck. Sharad Navratri, a nine-day festival, commences on October 15, 2023. Each day of this festival is associated with a unique color, including pink, white, red, orange, yellow, maroon, dark blue, green, purple, and beige, each carrying its own special meaning and significance. 

Nine colors of Navratri 2023

First Day (15th October) - Pratipada - White
White: The white color represents peace, purity, and innocence.

Second Day (16th October) - Dwitiya - Red
Red: Red symbolizes action, passion, and perseverance.

Third Day (17th October) - Tritiya - Royal Blue
Royal Blue: Royal blue represents power and authority.

Fourth Day (18th October) - Chaturthi - Yellow
Yellow: Yellow color represents energy, cheerfulness, and luminosity.

Fifth Day (19th October) - Panchami - Green
Green: The green color symbolizes relaxation

Sixth Day (20th October) - Shashti - Orange/ Yellow
Orange/ Yellow: The color orange symbolizes action, passion, and creativity.

Seventh Day (21st October) - Saptami - Green/ Blue/ Purple
Green/ Blue/ Purple: The green/ blue /purple color symbolizes rest, calmness, and wisdom.

Eighth Day (22nd October) - Ashtami - Red/ Maroon
Red/ Maroon: The red/ maroon is the color of sacrifice which brings true fulfillment.

Ninth Day (23rd October) - Navami - White/ Gold
White/ Gold: The color white/ gold symbolizes purity, perfection, and prosperity.
