Nili Chhatri Temple is one of the oldest Hindu temples in New Delhi, the capital city of India. The temple enshrines Lord Shiva as the presiding deity. It is said that Yudhisthira, the eldest of the Pandavas built Neeli Chhatri Temple and for conducting Aswamedha Yajna. Yudhisthira also constructed the Nigambodh Ghat on the banks of Yamuna River.
Nili Chhatri Temple is located in the Yamuna bazaar area close to the Baharadur Shahi Gate of Salimgarh Fort, on Ring Road (Mahatma Gandhi Marg). The temple has been mentioned only infrequently in various chronicles of Delhi.
