Thrikkannapuram Sree Krishna Temple Poozhikunnu

Thrikkannapuram Sree Krishna Temple near Poozhikunnu is an ancient Hindu temple in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The temple is located at Thrikkannapuram, around 7 km Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple. Dedicated to Lord Krishna, this temple inner sanctum is round shaped and has sanctum walls has sculptures of the 10 Dasavataras of Mahavishnu.

Thrikkannapuram Sree Krishna Temple enshrines a small beautiful idol of Unnikannan in standing posture. The temple overlooks a Trikkannapuram river. Other deities worshiped include Lord Ganapathy, Devi, Nagaraja and Thumburan (Shiva).

Festival

Ashtami Rohini is the major festival celebrated in the temple. This year Sree Krishna Jayanti festival is from 5th to 10th September 2015. Vishu, Ramayana Masam, Vidyarambham, Navratri are other important festivals celebrated here.

The temple pooja timings are from 5.00 AM to 9.30 AM in the morning and 5.00 PM to 7.30 PM in the evening.

The temple is 3 km from Pappanamcode and 2 km from Vellayani Junction. People coming from Thirumala, the temple is 6 km via Kunnapuzha road.
