Ashta Bhairava are the 8 avatars of Kalabhairava. There are eight forms of Maha Bhairavars who controls the eight directions of this universe. The vahana (vehicle) of Lord Bhairava is Shvan (Dog). Each Bhairava has 8 more sub bhairavas under them. Maha Swarna Kala Bhairavar is the supreme ruler who controls the Ashta Bhairavar.
