ReplyDeleteSwami Haridhos popularised it. He certainly did not compose it. It was attributed to Agastiyar, Sage of yore. It is in his musical stories recital. There were few old palm leaves inscription discovered in 60s near Tapovanam there. Ighy be another Swami Sanyassin involved 20th century discovery.
ReplyDeletePlease Sir Give me "Lalita Navratan malai" in Hindi translation.

DeleteMurugan Swami passed this to Agastiyar, and Swami Gnanananda Giri passed it to Swami Haridhos Giri, who then gave this to all his followers and devotees

ReplyDeleteBeautiful lyrics 😍
ReplyDeleteSo amazing
ReplyDeleteNot muruga Swami. Nocchur Swamigal who lived in 1950s, inspired by palms leaves very old (believed to be from agastya compositions, could very be a dream or an Anubuva of the Swami) with an precense of Gnananandar, or some might say as inspired by Gnananandar. Haridhos giri gave it the metre recitation and multiple ways intially to sing it as many have after, the classical ness of the Tamil puts it to be old but it a modern composition for sure. Haridhos giris imaginative story telling built the story of Lord muruga who sang the Padiham to Amika in Mani Deepak which is the inner most top part of Sri chakra/meru , agastya having witnessed the prayers passed down to humanity. We can take it the sanyasins as sages of yore did not attribute it to their own who coming up with something so awe inspiring..
ReplyDeleteFrom the devoutees and yogis this much Incan put it out there, it is very breath and life for those who love Shakti and struggle that they many not know Sanskrit or whatever but do know their mother toungue. A silent thanks to three mahaans who helped put this together and surely the Ambika maths who brought this to live for such devoutees , who else but Ambika or whatever the divine may be is and alwaysthe creator of anything
