Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple Dwarka Gujarat

Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple is located on the route between Gomati Dwarka and the Bait Dwarka Island, on the coast of Saurashtra in Gujarat, India. Nageshwar Temple is one of the 12 Jyotir Linga Temples and lies in Dwarkavan (the forest of Dwarka), near the Gopi Lake. Lord Shiva is worshipped here as Nagnath which means Lord with snake around his neck. Hence, Nagnath Jyotirlinga Temple is believed to offer protection from all poisons, and revering Nageshwar Linga provides the way to a poison-free life.

Attracted by numerous devotees, Nageshvara Jyotirlinga is believed to be built by the Pandavas during their exile (vanavas) in the forest. There are other two temples dedicated to Nageshwar Jyotirlinga – they are the Nagnath temple of Aundha in Maharashtra and the Jageshwara temple near Almora in Uttarakhand.
