Nimishamba Devi Temple Bangalore

Nimishamba Devi Temple is located at Rajarajeshwari Nagar in Bangalore, Karnataka. The temple is built with red laterite stone in the traditional Parashurama Kshetra architecture style. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Nimishamba Devi, an incarnation of Goddess Parvathi, the wife of Lord Shiva.

Nimishamba Devi Temple has separate shrines for Moukthikeshwara, Lakshmi Narayana, Goddess Saraswathi, Siddhi Vinayaka, Dakshinamurthy, Siva Bhaskara, Mundini and Anjaneya. Installation of Sree Chakra is the other uniqueness of this temple. An offering called ‘Chandika Homa’ is performed here with great importance in a divine room called ‘Yaga Shala’.

Nimishamba Jayanti and Navaratri are the important festivals celebrated at the temple. Special poojas are conducted on pournami days (full moon days). Worshippers are offered free food (annadhana) from here almost in all days. Every day the temple remains opened from 6 AM to 8.30 PM.
