Dhundhi Ganapati is the 26th among the 32 forms of Lord Ganesha. This form of Ganapathi helps in attaining moksha through spiritual studies, thus making the devotees life fresh and glorious. He has a red-hued complexion and has four hands. In the upper right hand Dhundhi Ganapathi holds a japa beads mala (rudraksha) and in the lower right hand he holds his broken tusk. In the upper left hand he holds his axe and in the lower left hand he holds a pot of precious gems (Ratnakumbha). It is believed that the pot of precious gems represent the valuable box of alert or consciousness and a saver of faithful and loyal devotees.
Uthradam nakshatra (Uttara Ashadha) is related to Dhundhi Ganapati. It is believed that Dhundhi Ganapati removes all troubles that come in the way of spiritual pursuit. This form can be worshipped in Sri Chottanikkara Bhagavathy Amman Temple in Kerala.
