Kalyani Devi Temple is an ancient goddess temple located at Meerapur, just 3 km from Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh, India. The temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas of Sati, is located at the holy land where Ganga and Yamuna are merged. The main idol represents Goddess Lalitha and hence the temple is also known as Lalita Devi Mandir. Kalyani Devi Mandir is supposed to be around 1500 years old. It is assumed that Goddess Sati’s fingers have fallen at this holy place. Shaktipeethas are locations where the body parts of Devi Sati are said to have fallen.
The shrine of this temple comprises of three stone idols with Goddess Kalyani Devi in the middle, Chinnamasta Devi on the left and Sankar Parvati on the right side. Thousands of devotees visit this temple every year to have the blessings of the three holy idols. The two important festivals of this temple are Chaitra Navratri and Ashwin Navratri which used to commemorate in March and October respectively. Dussehra or Dasara Festival is also celebrated here with full gaiety and enthusiasm.
Kalyani Devi Temple timings are from 5 AM to 11 PM on all days. The temple is located in Kalyanidevi and Meerapur locality.
