Girivalam is the spiritual festival observed on every full moon day (Pournami day) at Thiruvannaamalai for the sacred Annamalai hill, which is the adobe of Lord Arunachaleswarar at Arunachaleswarar Temple in Tamil Nadu.
Girivalam is the circumambulation of the Annamalai hill and devotees worship the Ashtalingams (eight lingams - Indralingam, Agnilingam, Yamalingam, Niruthilingam, Varunalingam, Vayulingam, Kuberalingam and Esanyalingam) which are installed around the mountain.
