The world famous Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple or Ayyappan Sannidhanam reopens for monthly pooja for Malayalam month of Edavam on 14th May 2009 at 5 PM IST. The Swamy Ayyapan temple will remain open for a week for Edavam Masam Pooja or Edava Masa Puja. All daily poojas will be conducted on these days and the temple timings will be as usual from 04:00 hrs to 23:00 hrs.
The Sabarimala Swamy Ayyappa Temple closes on 19th May 2009 at 11PM IST and will reopen on 2nd June 2009 for annual Sabarimala Pratishta Day Celebration (Idol Installation Day).
