The Maha Kumbhabhishekam 2015 at Manthakkara Maha Ganapathy Temple is all set to conduct on 2015 May 1, Friday. Manthakkara Maha Ganapathy Temple is located on the banks of Nila River, in the heart of Kalpathy village in Palakkad district of Kerala. The Jeernodharana Maha Kumbhabhishekam at the temple was last conducted in the year 2000, with great religious importance. Manthakkara Ganapathy Temple is the Grama Devatha of New Kalpathy Village.
The temple committee is conducting a grand Fine Arts Festival from 1st April 2015 to 1st May 2015 as part of Maha Kumbhabhishekam. Connoisseurs of Art and music will be performing in the concerned fields, assuring a feast to the lovers of music and other forms of performing arts.
The Garbha Griha and Chuttambalam of the temple are being renovated to give an entirely new look to the temple without deviating from the traditional style of temple architecture and culture. The Maha Kumbhabhishekam rituals based on Agama Sastra coupled with chants from all the four Vedas and Puranas have been arranged on an elaborate scale inviting the best available Pandits in their respective field to make it memorable.
