Bhalka Teerth is a holy site located just 5 km from Somnath Temple in Gujarat, India. It is believed that this is the place where the arrow of a tribal named Jara hit Lord Sree Krishna. Story has it that, the hunter shot an arrow to Bhagvan Krishna’s foot thinking it was a deer while Krishna was resting in a meditation pose under a pippal tree.
Mahaprabhuji’s Bethak is a beautiful temple at the Bhalka Teerth in memory of Shree Krishna. An ancient pippal tree can be seen in the place. Bhalka Tirth in Somnath is located on Prabhas Veraval highway. Devotees visiting Somnath Jyotirlinga make it a point to visit this pilgrimage place.
