Hanuman Jayanthi
Lord Hanuman is an avatar of Lord Shiva and is regarded as a symbol of strength and energy. Hanuman was born to Anjana and Kesari in Anjana Giri Mountain. Hanuman was an ardent devotee of Lord Rama and is one of the central characters in Hindu epic Ramayana.
According to a popular belief Hanuman is present wherever the story or Lord Rama is recited. Hence Hanuman devotees read Ramayana on Hanuman Jayanthi and recite prayers dedicated to Lord Ram and Hanuman.
