The Garuda Wisnu Kencana Park situated on the Bukit Peninsula at the island of Bali in Indonesia is famous for a 23 meter high statue of Lord Vishnu and 18 meter high statue of Garuda. Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) is a private cultural park and tourist spot where tourists can enjoy beautiful panoramas of Northern Bali, a free Balinese dance performance at Amphitheatre (10.00 AM), and play in outbound arena.
The Garuda and Wisnu statue was designed and built by one of Indonesia’s foremost modern sculptor Nyoman Nuarta. Currently the statue is 23 m high, the original plan was to build a 146 meter gold plated Lord Vishnu riding his Garuda vahana.
Garuda Wisnu Kencana Park is open daily for visitors from 8.00 AM to 10.00 PM (GMT +8).
