The Thousand Pillar Hall or 1000 Pillar Mandapam of the temple is one of the tourist attractions in Maduari and India. Each pillar of the mandapam is a monument of Dravidan sculpture and is beautifully sculptured. The Musical Pillars, situated just outside the mandapam, is another major attraction - Each pillar when stuck will produce a different musical note. Tourist can also visit the Temple Art Museum in the 1000 Pillars Hall which exhibits the photographs, icons, and drawings dating back to 1200 years old.

The Vasantha Mandapam at Meenakshi Temple is Madurai, also known as Pudhu Mandapam, is the place where the Spring festival is celebrated during the Tamil month of Vaikasi (April - May). The pillars of Vasantha Mandapam are beautifully decorated with images of Lord Shiva, Goddess Meenakshi, scenes from Meenakshi Thirukalyanam, and figures of ten of the Nayak Kings and their consorts.
