Jayalakshmi Varalakshmi is a beautiful Goddess Lakshmi devotional song composed by renowned Telugu Saint Poet Sri Thallapaaka Annamacharya (Annamayya). Saint Annamacharya had composed 32,000 Sankeertanas (Hindu devotional songs), of which most of them are dedicated to Tirupati Venkateswara Balaji of Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, Andhra Pradesh.
The Annamacharya keerthanalu, Jayalakshmi Varalakshmi describes the splendor of Goddess Maha Lakshmi in different forms like Jaya Lakshmi, Vara Lakshmi, and Veera Laksmi. Saint Annamayya prays to Lakshmi Devi, the Goddess of Victory, the Goddess of Boons and Blessing, and the Goddess of Courage to bless the devotees with Her generous presence. Jayalakshmi Varalakshmi bhajan song is in Ragam “Lalitha” and Talam “Adi”.

atla taddi aaratloi, mudda pappu mudatloi....
i checked for these kind of songs all over the internet but unfortunately i see more christian songs .. So if anyone can help uploading anything related these kind of traditional rituals songs and the way they do it(bogi,bogi pallu,bomma koluvu,atla taddi,vundralla taddi) AndhraPradesh traditions .i saw many kerala songs and their cultural songs which are beautiful and wish i can see more of telugu traditions too

ReplyDeleteI like the JayaLakshmi Annamacharya kirtan, but one of the words on the lyrics is wrong, when i listened to it. It's 'nidhula niliche thalli.'
